"The 10 Wackiest E-Commerce Sites"

– Wired News, April 20, 2006

This deep-discount lover's paradise roots out deals on tech products that are dirt-cheap or (as the name suggests) free after you factor in rebates. We've found lots of effectively free software and blank digital media here. We recently found a particularly sweet offer for a 128MB SD card that rang up at a mere $3 (after rebate, of course).

There IS one "free" message I look forward to receiving — my once-a-week FreeAfterRebate.info Newsletter.

In Hi-Tech Toys, the name says it all: FreeAfterRebate.info. It's a web site that tells you where you can buy stuff and get, not just some, but in many cases, all of your money back.

Francisco Perez loves his rebate so he searched the Internet one day for a site to help make his life easier and, amazingly, there it was. In four months, he has walked away with $400 worth of free merchandise.

He's even saved more than $50 on software, but he says to be a good rebate shopper, you've got to pay attention to details. Franciso now keeps track of each rebate he sends in to make sure the check arrives within eight weeks. If not, you can be sure he'll be calling cause this guy knows the word free.

At last! A new site, Free-After-Rebate, lists all those great free after rebate deals that Circuit City, Office Depot, & Office Max run from time to time. I can't tell you how many slim jewel cases I've gotten that way. As long as you're willing to fill out some paperwork, xerox some stuff, and wait 6-8 weeks, it's a great deal. This site goes on my Favorites list for sure.

When you're just starting out, you can use as much free stuff as possible, right? Free After Rebate points to stores that sell products that end up being free after you send in for a rebate.
